“Out of the box first,” heard so often these days, has become almost a mantra over the last few years. This statement even made it to a list of four basic overarching principles for ServiceNow implementations. Why is that? In our opinion, it has a lot to do with the fact that what’s in the box evolves rapidly (it gets richer and wider with each new ServiceNow release). It’s a challenge to keep it tidy and smoothly working when the implementation includes a lot of homemade pieces.
